⚠️ The NYFurs Google Drive is now deprecated. All files have been moved to Chuu Cloud.

NYFurs uses Chuu Mail and Chuu Drive, two services provided by Chuu Cloud, as its email and server system. Every NYFurs staff member is required to have an account. Volunteers are not eligible for a Chuu Account.

All assets (logos, event thumbnails, photos, scheduled, bookkeeping, etc) must be stored in this drive.

All NYFurs assets will be stored under the “NYFurs” folder, which you can find under Group folders.

Account Creation

When you have initially applied as a staff member, we should have already collected this information.

If it has been over 7 days and your account has not been created, please email [email protected] to set up an account. You must contain the following information:

The type of service you are requesting an account for (Chuu Drive, Chuu Mail, or Webpanel)
Initial of your first name, a period, and full last name (this will be your PRIMARY email, used for reaching out to other companies and private corporations; example is [email protected])
Your Discord/Telegram account
An email alias of your choosing (this will be your SECONDARY email, used when you want to provide an email to other attendees; example is [email protected]. Keep it simple.)
Do not include a password in your email. You will be provided with a temporary password, which you can change on the website.

If you ever step down from your role, you must notify us to revoke your access. Once you are approved for a Chuu account, you now have access to the NYFurs email and server system.

Please set up 2 factor authentication when your account is approved.

Once a username is set, you cannot change the username without creating a new account and migrating it. You will be granted 100 GB of personal storage space. Uploading to the shared NYFurs folder will not count against the quota.

If you do not want to enter 2FA every time you log into the drive, you can go to settings and link your account with Discord, Telegram, or mail to log in with it immediately.
